I had to join in the hype!

What a real dogs dinner this locomotive looked! An LNER lime green livery so pre-1948 which was when Britain's railways were nationalised. However between 1958 and 1960 locos in the class were fitted with a double chimney and a Kylchap exhaust which produced a much softer exhaust. The solution was the fitting of German type smoke deflectors to reduce the effect of drifting smoke. It should NEVER have been dressed up like this.
