Led by Ruth Flack-Dunmore, CEO of Motorail UK Ltd, the walking tour approaches the high security area of the site.

Although Long Marston is fully secured with extensive security fencing and 24/7 on-site security we were told that "travelling" visitors to the UK (trying to be very PC here) had evaded security and helped themselves to parts of some of the stored locomotives. The remaining locos had therefore been re-located to the high security area of the site under CCTV monitoring.

Ruth told me that the site had around 26miles of track overall. I felt I'd walked every inch by the time I left at 5pm. She had it all to do again on the Sunday.
