Diesel shunter "Criccieth Castle" stands at the head of the Cold Turkey Special at Portmadoc.

A couple of days away at Portmeirion co-incided with an 11am departure of a Festiniog /Welsh Highland Railway staff special from Portmadoc Harbour to Rhyd Ddu and back - with a long stop-off at Beddgellert. Arrival back at Portmadoc was scheduled for 4pm.
