41708 was built in 1880 at Derby Works and allocated to Barrow Hill shed. Designed by S W Johnson it holds the record as being the oldest working locomotive for BR and was not withdrawn until 1966.

45110 is a Stanier Black 5 and was one of the last locos to drop its fire in BR service. It's boiler ticket has expired recently and awaits an overhaul.
