At the rear of the Motor Coach is the guards compartment. It was used to convey the morning and evening newspapers from Liverpool.
I delivered newspapers from Mrs Fishers shop behind Maghull's signalbox for several years while at school. I would often collect them off the platform when the train arrived late afternoon.
