In talking with a worker at Bridgnorth shed he told me that they were unaware of the arrival of a steam special at Kidderminster hauled by Tornado. In order to provide steam haulage back to Kidderminster instead of the usual diesel service they had quickly fired up Erlestoke Manor and refitted the connecting rods that had been removed for planned maintenance. The Class 20 diesel was hanging off the back and can be seen in the next shot.
