Car no 29 of 1887. Also numbered as 111 it was often used on "wildflower excursions' near Pikes Peak
This standard gauge car was built by The Pullman Car Company in 1887 for the former Colorado Midland Railway and was used on that line from Colorado Springs through Ute Pass, South Park and Hogerman Pass. It was rebuilt into an observation car in 1905. After this popular tourist route was abandoned in 1915 (can't have been that popular then!) the car was used by the allied Midland Terminal to Cripple Creek until that too was abandoned in 1949 and it was saved as a summerhouse by an Albuquerque resident.
