Originally this was a double track junction leading to Kenilworth and Leamington Spa. It was considered obsolete in the 60's as Leamington Spa could be accessed by trains taking the junction to the south of Coventry. Kenilworth now has the honour of being the biggest town in the country with a railway running right through the centre and NO STATION!. It was closed down in the Beeching cuts. CRAZY!
