Roe Street is far wider than it ever used to be here. Developments in the 70's involved demolition of many buildings in the Queen's Square area and the complete loss of Tryon Street, Gt. Charlotte Street and Back Roe Street. The Stork Hotel location amongst many others is now taken by the huge Liverpool Marriott Hotel.
