A 5 car Class 502 unit arrives at Maghull in 1964. It was in green livery which I believe suited them far better than the corporate BR blue that they were plastered with later.
In the distance is Poverty Lane bridge which has not suffered the indignity of having a separate footbridge imposed on its aesthetics.
