"Shed" Class 66 no 66067 passes through the village station at Claverdon after departure from Stratford at 7am.
The wreath carried on the front of the loco was a tribute to Tom Clift who was a lifelong supporter of the Central Wales line. A pink ribbon was carried on the front of the loco on the return from Carmarthen for the missing 5 year old April Jones.
Route was to be:
Stratford upon Avon
Dorridge
Solihull
Birmingham New Street
Wolverhampton
Codsall
Telford Central
Wellington
then through Central Wales to Carmarthen.
Return via :
Port Talbot
Cardiff
Newport
Abergavenny
Hereford
Craven Arms
and then back on the same route back.
