The excursion was due to start at Shirley on the North Warwickshire line.
...so after parking at the Tyseley loco works I walked over to Tyseley station in order to catch a train to Shirley. The unit is seen approaching from Birmingham. The vegetation growing on the far platform was at a time before the major rationalisation work a few years later that brought that island platform back into use.
