This is a conversion by BRUSH of Loughborough of a Class 319 EMU. These units were built in the late 80's for use on the Thameslink services following the electrification of the MML to Bedford.and the re-opening of the Snow Hill line through Faringdon giving connection to routes south of the Thames, most notably the the line to Brighton. New diesel powered engines have been fitted under the end cars.
