A x3 version of the Great Seal of the Commonwealth 1651.

A x3 version of the Great Seal of the Commonwealth 1651.

Of particular note is the fact that "The Vyne" house actually appears on the map. The owner of the house, Chaloner Chute, sat in the House of Commons from 1654 - 1659 and was Speaker for a short time until his untimely passing in 1659.

Also of note is the Irish Sea to the west of the English mainland as it is now but the "British Sea" appears to the south. Scotland also makes no appearance.
