Stanier Coronation Class 4-6-2 no 46235 City of Birmingham

Yes this is the home of one of my all-time favorite locomotives. Locked away inside this dreadful building. Even the name is awful - Think Tank - In the foreground is Birmingham's version of the iconic Euston Arch - Curzon Street station building. Opened 24th June 1838, partly closed 1854 and then fully closed in 1893.

However it may have a new future as the Birmingham end of the HS2 High Speed rail link from London. Unless the nimby protestors win the political battle.
