The embankment collapse at the G&WR has effectively severed the railway in two. Steam loco preparation and maintenance has had to be enabled at Winchcombe carriage maintenance depot temporarily. Services currently run from Winchcombe to Cheltenham Racecourse using steam locos while a DMU service operates from Toddington to Hayles Abbey then back through Toddington and north to Laverton.
