Today was to be the final day in steam for Hawksworth's Modified Hall 4-6-0 no 7903 Foremarke Hall.
The loco has reached the end of its 10 year boiler ticket so must be dismantled and overhauled. The loco will go to Tyseley Locomotive Works were they have comprehensive knowledge of Hall Class locos. The tender, I believe, will be overhauled at Toddington. I hope they use matching paint this time!
I arrived at a cold, icy Toddington just in time to witness 7903 reversing back onto the stock in platform 2.
