A couple of years ago the railway suffered with a burglary. Non-ferrous metal was the target and thieves escaped with the brass injector seen inside the cab.
The scrap value was probably less than £50 but it had received thousands of hours of machining. I'm pleased to see the replacement is firmly attached to the locomotive.
