Thieves steal floor from church

Thieves have stolen 150 ancient stone tiles from the entrance to a Grade I-listed Norfolk church.
The Tudor floor has been ripped up from the porch of St Peter's in the hamlet of Crostwick near Norwich.
The Rector of St Faith's Spixworth and Crostwick, the Rev Andrew Beane, discovered the theft on 8 May.
The Rev Beane said:"It's such a shame. I can't imagine this was spontaneous, it must have been stolen to order as the church is quite isolated."
The Rev Beane said the congregation of about a dozen people have vowed to raise the money to rebuild the porch floor and a builder has been asked for a quote but it is not yet known how much it will cost.
He said offers of help had been received from outside the village as well.
