Class 47 no 47773 was hanging off the back...

This loco was to come in very handy later in the day. Due to line side fire risk the steam loco went no further than York and was substituted by the Class 47.

Likewise the other steam hauled excursion into York with 5972 Olton Hall (as Hogwarts Castle) was seen being dragged at the back of its train when it arrived at York.
