Next up was William Wordsell designed 0-6-0T J72 no 69023 "Joem".

This class of light shunting locos was introduced in 1898 for the North East Railway. Such was the success of this design that they were still being built right up until 1951. Quite remarkeable. 69023 survived the cull of 1961 and went into departmental service with 69005 but only 69023 survived and was bought by a Mr R Ainsworth. It's name derives from the names of his parents - Joseph Emmeline.
